WWE star Dave Bautista reveals shocking reason why he got his Manny Pacquiao tattoo covered up

Dave Bautista has a large fan base from his time in wrestling and now in Hollywood. Having a large fan base can be difficult because it can sometimes lead to a contentious situation. As of recently, Bautista has had to explain to his fans why he covered up his left forearm tattoos. The revelation revolved around one of his old friends who recently made “anti-gay statements.”

Bautista discussed his tattoos in a recent interview with GQ, and he shared his thoughts on the controversial subject. He explained that an old friend of his recently came out as a homophobe, which he did not take lightly. Because of some personal issues, such as his mother’s status as a lesbian. Though Bautista does not name the friend, he does leave a significant hint.

However, in the video interview, the wrestler-turned-actor stated that “someone I really looked up to has come out publicly with some anti-gay statements and turned out to be an extreme homophobe.” After this, he added on his TikTok video, “So I had a huge issue with it. It’s a personal matter for me. My mother is a lesbian, and I couldn’t call him a friend any longer, so I covered it up with this.”

This homophobic remark from this unknown friend surprised him greatly. However, he handled the situation in a way that was welcoming to the LGBTQ community. The support was a hugely positive sign for not only the community but also for the young people.

Even though there weren’t many images found about the tattoos’ details, one of them shows a flaming meteor, which is the team logo of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, who was also chastised by the media in 2016 for his outrageous claim about gay marriage.
