“You keep joining super teams to win NBA title” Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo taunts Kevin Durant on joining big teams to bolster winning chances

Milwaukee Bucks star, Giannis Antetokounmpo, had tongues wagging after his appearance on The Daily Show.

While it was a scripted segment, Giannis took a subtle jab at Kevin Durant, accusing him of continually joining superteams to bolster his winning chances. Giannis also offered to work out with Durant and teach him how to carry his team properly.

While the segment was scripted, it didn’t stop NBA fans from wondering if there was any truth to what Giannis said. Durant has a reputation for joining superteams, starting with the Golden State Warriors, where he won two championships and assembled arguably the greatest roster of all time.

He also played a role in recruiting James Harden to join him and Kyrie Irving at the Brooklyn Nets, which ultimately imploded. Now, he has joined the Phoenix Suns, a team that already has a championship core.

Before his trash-talk, Giannis made sure to clarify that he looked up to Durant and that he was one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. However, it didn’t stop him from throwing a little shade, along with bashing Nikola Jokic and LeBron James, who he also had to talk smack about. The interview showcased a different side of Giannis, one that was full of jokes and laughs.

While Giannis may have pulled off the segment really well, it’ll be interesting to see how Durant reacts to it. NBA fans can’t help but wonder if there’s any truth to Giannis’ subtle jab and if Durant will try to prove him wrong.

Regardless, the interview provided some much-needed entertainment, and fans can’t wait to see what’s next for these two superstars.
