3 players Chelsea should target in January transfer window to help boost Graham Potter’s squad

Last September, Chelsea replaced their UCL-winning coach, Thomas Tuchel, with Graham Potter. After the Englishman took charge, Chelsea have been consistent and are currently in 5th position in the Premier League table. In their last 5 premier league appearances, they didn’t lose any matches.

The current squad of Chelsea is mostly squared off but has huge issues on the bench or the depth of the squad. With a long-term injury to N’Golo Kante, they are suffering in the midfield too. Besides, there was always a shortage of proper No.09s in the squad after Drogba left the club.

In the summer window, the Blues signed Aubameyang, but their other striker, Romelo Lukaku, is out of loan and the Belgian footballer doesn’t have any intention of joining the Chelsea squad again after all those controversies. For that, the Blues are left with only one option: Fernando Torres.

So, for the winter transfer window, Chelsea will require a proper striker to add depth to the squad, as well as a proper defensive midfielder to help them win trophies. Now take a look at the 3 potential players suggested by online bet, who could help Chelsea out of this vulnerable situation if they are signed in the upcoming transfer window.

#1. Arsen Zakharyan

Arsen Zakharyan is a promising Russian midfielder who currently plays for Dynamo Moscow. This 19-year-old midfielder has the capability of playing in different positions in the midfield based on the team’s requirements. Because of his passing ability, finishing capability, and strength, Zakharyan is frequently compared with KDB. So it would be a win-win situation for Chelsea if they could sign this young talent.

#2. Josko Gvardiol

Gvardiol is an excellent right back and has the capability to score goals and is currently playing for the German side, RB Leipzig. In June, a few of the defenders will be free from Chelsea’s contract. It would be a great investment for the Blues if they could sign the 20-year-old Croatian sensation Josko Gvardiol as a replacement for those defenders.

#3. Edinson Cavani

Edinson Cavani, a 35-year-old Uruguayan striker, would be the most feasible solution to the team’s striker depth issues; he has a wealth of experience that will add significant value to the squad, and with the team in need of a striker this winter, Cavani would be an excellent option to pursue.
