Celtics FG Jayson Tatum shares excitement after breaking Bradley Beal’s record becoming youngest player in NBA to hit 1,000 3-pointers

Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics is having his best season yet in his professional basketball career. Recently, he was named the NBA’s youngest player to score 1,000 three-pointers.

In last night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, the forward scored a massive 41-point haul with five baskets from outside the arc at the TD Garden. The Celtics won by a score of 127-166 thanks to a magnificent performance.

After achieving this rare feat, the 24-year-old couldn’t hold his excitement in the postgame press conference.

What did Jayson Tatum say after becoming the NBA’s youngest 1,000-three-point shooter?

In the press conference, Tatum learned he broke the record of Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal, who was 25 years old when he scored 1,000 three-pointers. After that, Tatum became excited about being associated with Bradley.

“The coolest part was I saw the previous record was held by Bradley Beal… I know he’s genuinely happy for me too,” the four-time NBA all-star said in the press conference.

His enthusiasm didn’t stop there, as Jayson went on to post on Twitter, praising this amazing feat and mentioning his hero. “Passed my hero @RealDealBeal23 🤞🏽 that’s the coolest part for me 🙏🏽,” Jayson tweeted. However, Beal hasn’t said anything yet.

This season, the forward has played in 52 games and averaged 30.6 points per game with 46.2% field goals, 35.3% three-pointers, and 86.8% free throws.

It clearly appears that the youngster will go bonkers if his predecessor congratulates him on this amazing achievement.
