Charles Oliveira is “nothing special” in Arman Tsarukyan’s eyes

UFC 300 is set to fire with an absolutely stacked card from the prelims to the end of the main card. Among other elite matchups, Arman Tsarukyan will battle for title contention against the former lightweight champion, Charles ‘Do Bronx’ Oliveira.

Things have heated up in the lightweight division, with Gaethje securing a spectacular KO win over Poirier, eventually leading to Poirier bouncing back with a KO win himself over Saint-Denis. Now, Tsarukyan and Oliveira will fight for the top spot as well.

Arman Tsarukyan dismisses Charles Oliveira’s game

Arman Tsarukyan has solidified his position in the title contention picture by stringing together a series of wins, amassing a formidable 21-3 record. His recent first-round KO victory over Beneil Dariush propelled him toward the top ranks.

Recognizing Tsarukyan’s undeniable prowess, the UFC matched him against one of the very best, Charles Oliveira, for one of the most prestigious events in the UFC. However, Tsarukyan has not accorded Oliveira the respect typically afforded to a former champion.

He asserts that his fighting style aligns perfectly to exploit what he perceives as weaknesses in Oliveira’s game. Tsarukyan even went as far as to dismiss Oliveira’s accomplishments, claiming he is “nothing special” and reducing his renowned submission skills to mere “tricks.”

Tsarukyan’s camp echoes his confidence

Arman Tsarukyan and his entire team are beaming with confidence ahead of the battle against the Brazilian great. They feel as if it is finally time for their fighter to progress to the pinnacle of the sport and throw it down for the championship strap.

In a recent video from their gym, Tsarukyan’s training partner Alexander Shabily made out Oliveira to not pose anything “outstanding” against their guy. They claim that the Jiu-Jitsu specialist was exposed in his last loss against the champion and it is the end of the road for him.

It is time for Arman Tsarukyan to fight the biggest fight of his life and assert his stature in one of the deepest divisions in the company. If he’s able to defeat Oliveira, especially in convincing fashion, it won’t be long before he sees gold in front of his eyes.
