Chelsea vs Club America: Mason Mount’s jaw-dropping late goal propels the Blues to win Las Vegas friendly match

Series of club friendlies are currently undergoing from Asia to North America through European Continent and giant clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, FC Barcelona are participating on those matches.

The Big London clubs recently played against different opponents from the MLS and Mexican sides on which most notable match was Chelsea vs Club America, where young talents like Mason Mount and Timo Werner displayed outstanding performance. 

Mason Mount’s exclusive performance vs Club America

As expected, UEFA Champions League winning Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel experimented a young squad to play against Mexican side Club America on a pre-season friendly in Las Vegas, USA where his side won the match by a narrow 2-1 margin.

Although it was a club friendly match but the intensity of both the club players’ were higher and especially for the young Chelsea players who wanted to grab their manager’s attention.

Some new talents like Connor Gallagher displayed a skillful performance but proven talents like Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount were the most notable stars on that friendly.

Rising English forward Mason Mount scored the late winner for Chelsea after Timo Werner’s stunning goal on the first half against Club America.

However, it was Mount who grabbed the headlines after the final result for his exquisite outside the box long range finishing that literally silenced the fanbase of the Mexican club.

Mason Mount’s right foot managed to score a super shot that turned into a stunner after Spanish left-back Marcos Alonso gave a crucial pass towards the English forward through Club America’s tight defensive wall.

The Englishman then made some crucial assists later on that match but other players like Kai Havertz and Hudson Odoi failed to convert those as goals.

The match eventually ended with a narrow win for Chelsea but manager Tuchel would definitely become happier after watching the young players’ superb performance on Las Vegas.
