After winning the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes became one of the most successful wrestlers in the company this year. Ending Roman Reigns’ 1,316-day championship reign and becoming the face of WWE is already a huge milestone. Despite this, Cody said he still has something left to achieve before the new year begins.
Recently, a fan on social media highlighted that Cody Rhodes has wrestled 95 matches in 2024, including TV, live events, and non-televised bouts—more than anyone else in WWE in recent times. Rhodes responded to that with excitement, saying, “🤯 Gotta’ get to 100!”
Reports show Rhodes has actually competed in 96 matches, putting him closer to his goal. After winning the title at WrestleMania 40, he promised to be a full-time champion and a hard worker for the company. He has lived up to that promise by appearing at almost every event.

But after a banned piledriver attack from Kevin Owens at SNME, Rhodes has been sidelined. If he doesn’t return during the Holiday Tour, reaching 100 matches before the year ends might not be possible. Fans are waiting to see if he can recover and achieve his goal.
Cody Rhodes’ injury update
The Saturday Night Main Event was full of surprises. The intensity of the event increased after Cody Rhodes won and successfully defended his championship, but Kevin Owens continued to attack him.
After Owens used the banned “Piledriver” move on Rhodes, he was carried off on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. WWE officials said Rhodes had a neck injury, but X-rays showed no broken bones.
