Conor McGregor will surely take notice of latest Michael Chandler claim

Conor McGregor, the biggest superstar in the history of MMA, has never been out of headlines since entering the UFC. He brings the attention of the whole world towards the sport each time he fights but is yet to step into the octagon since suffering a horrendous leg break injury in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier in July of 2021.

Ever since, McGregor has called out several fighters in the game and speculated numerous bouts, but none of them came to fruition. Last year, when he coached The Ultimate Fighter alongside Michael Chandler, fans finally saw hope of ‘The Notorious’ coming back to action.

Conor McGregor receives 2-round warning from Michael Chandler

The McGregor vs. Chandler season of The Ultimate Fighter wrapped up in August of last year. In the show, the two had quite a few scuffles between them, including a heated altercation where McGregor shoved Chandler. Fans were thrilled to witness the massive comeback of Conor McGregor as rumors pointed towards the fight being held at the end of the year.

Unfortunately, the fight was not scheduled, owing to a lot of complications. Michael Chandler, who last fought in 2022, has been waiting eagerly for the mega-fight to happen and has repeatedly asked for a date, even at times when we thought the fight wouldn’t happen at all. One of the major reasons for the delay was McGregor not entering the USADA pool in time.

However, he has been tested several times since late 2023, leading to speculation for his long-awaited return this year. Chandler, who McGregor has kept waiting so long, issued a warning to his opponent, promising to knock him out within 2 rounds. He stated how he has not been this inactive in the last 2 decades, which has seemingly fueled even more fire within him to come out victorious in spectacular fashion in the biggest fight of his life.

Conor McGregor wants Chandler fight in June

The biggest reveal in terms of speculation for Conor McGregor vs Micheal Chandler came from the Irishman himself when he posted a video on his Instagram, announcing that his fight against Chandler will take place on July 29th, on International fight week in Las Vegas, and that the contest will take place at 185lbs.

Although no official date has yet been announced for the fight, McGregor still hopes for it to take place as he announced. A recent fan video surfaced where he asked Conor about the fight date and he confidently stated that it was still June 29th.

Fans await in hope as the supposed date of the mega fight draws nearer. If everything goes according to plan, the whole world is in for a treat as we’ll get to witness the massive comeback of the Irish superstar.
