Cristiano Ronaldo embraces Saudi Arabian culture at Founding Day celebrations with swaying swords, flaunting golden robe

Cristiano Rolando celebrated the Founding Day of Saudi Arabia with his Al Nassr teammates. He was seen embracing Saudi culture, wearing their dresses, and seemed to enjoy the whole occasion.

Ronaldo participated in a variety of activities to celebrate the special day of the formation of the country three centuries ago.

He wore an authentic traditional robe called daglah which is the national Saudi dress, for the occasion. The daglah was gold-printed making him stand out from the rest. Along with his teammates, he was seen drinking coffee, dancing with a ceremonial sword, and posing for pictures.

Ronaldo also wore a traditional white thobe during the day. He was then seen performing a traditional Ardah dance with lots of singing. He waved a traditional curved sword while dancing with his team mates.

Ronaldo was all smiles during the whole event and took pictures with dignitaries and teammates. He also draped a Saudi Arabian flag around his shoulder at one point.

The soccer legend posted a video of the whole day on his social media accounts with the caption, “Happy founding day to Saudi Arabia  Was a special experience to participate in the celebration at Al Nassr!

The national day saw workers get a day off and all of the people joined together in celebration of the momentous day. Ronaldo has enjoyed himself since he joined Al Nassr with photos and videos of him enjoying going viral.

Ronaldo left Manchester United in November for free and then joined Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr in January, who gave him a contract that made him the world’s best paid player.

The Portuguese striker had failed to score in his first two games, but now has five goals including a sensational poker in one game. He now has 500 career club goals.

Cristiano and Al Nassr will now face Damac on Saturday as they go to extend their lead at the top of the table.
