Dustin Poirier applauds Max Holloway following his victory over Arnold Allen at UFC Kansas City

Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway went toe to toe against rising star Arnold Allen in what was an epic war that went to the distance in the main event of UFC Kansas City. Just like every other bout, The Hawaiian fighter put on a terrific show for the audience and they loved every single moment of it.

At the end of five rounds of nail-biting action, it was Max Holloway who reigned supreme over Arnold Allen as he won the fight 49-46, 48-47 and 49-46 via unanimous decision. Following his hard-fought win at UFC Kansas City, former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier praised Holloway’s skills and called him a true veteran.

The Diamond who has shared the octagon with Blessed on two different occasions recognized his rival’s greatness. However, he was not the only fighter who showered praise on Max as bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and his arch-nemesis Alexander Volkanovski offered their congratulations.

Moreover, Blessed became the first fighter to have crossed over 3000 significant strikes in the UFC.

It is needless to say that Holloway silenced all his critics with an impressive showing at UFC Kansas City. Because several fans and pundits were doubting Max Holloway in the lead-up to the fight.

After defeating Arnold Allen, Blessed sat down for a post-fight press conference and answered some questions regarding the five-round war. During this conversation, Max Holloway revealed that he is interested to fight The Korean Zombie in his next fight.

Chan Sung Jung has not made a return inside the octagon since his loss to Alexander Volkanovski last year.
