CM Punk is a big name in WWE, but he didn’t wrestle at WrestleMania 40 because of a triceps injury he got at the Royal Rumble. So, fans are excited for WrestleMania this year because they hope CM Punk will be there for a big fight.
Since CM Punk had participated in his most talked-about feud match with Seth Rollins during Raw’s Netflix debut, there’s talk he might face Cody Rhodes or John Cena in the Mania event. However, recent updates suggest there could be a triple-threat match.
Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that John Cena had decided months ago to win the Elimination Chamber. If he does, he could become the first 17-time world champion, setting up a huge title match at WrestleMania.
Recently, CM Punk shared that he would love to face Cena in what could be Cena’s final year. This leaves room for WWE to shake up its WrestleMania plans.
There are people within WWE that would rather Cody Rhodes defend the Undisputed Championship in a triple threat match against John Cena and CM Punk at #WrestleMania 41 than Punk v Roman Reigns v Seth Rollins.

Punk, Cena, Logan Paul, and Drew McIntyre have already qualified for the Elimination Chamber on March 1 in Toronto. If Cena wins, he could challenge Rhodes for the WWE title—possibly turning it into a triple-threat match with Punk at WrestleMania 41.
All these are connected with the undisputed championship only since Jey Uso is almost booked for the heavyweight championship.
CM Punk vows to crush John Cena at Elimination Chamber
So far, three competitors have secured their spots. CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and John Cena—who had been scheduled to enter the elimination chamber since last year.
Speaking on the Good Guy / Bad Guy podcast, Punk delivered a bold message, promising to take down Cena and move one step closer to his ultimate goal—headlining WrestleMania against Cody Rhodes.
