On February 15, 2024, Red Bull became the latest and the last Formula 1 team to unveil their 2024 challenger, the RB20 at its Milton Keynes headquarters.
Immediately after the launching event, Red Bull’s RB20 stirred up the Formula 1 community in awe, and fans soon flocked to social media to express their verdict on the cars.
Red Bull unveils RB20 first look
The current World Champions, Red Bull, unveiled their RB20 F1 car in a live presentation from their team factory, with drivers Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and the ‘under fire’ Team boss Christian Horner.
The live stream showed the RB20 to be a ‘visual lookalike’ of the ‘undriveable’ RB19 (as stated by Max Verstappen last season), featuring Red Bull Racing’s blue, red and yellow design as seen since 2015.
In terms of design, the RB20 looks ‘aggressive’, with a sharper nose and a slimmer profile overall. It features two long galleys extending downward from the halo and new ‘reshaped’ side pods.
Talking about components under the RB20’s covers, the car will be powered by the RBPTH001, manufactured by Red Bull Powertrains and Honda; this will also be used in the RB sister team’s VCARB-01 car.

Fans hold high expectations from RB 20
After Red Bull uploaded the RB20’s visuals on social media, the RB F1 community went up in flames out of excitement. The Red Bull fans immediately flocked to the comment sections to express their excitement over the RB20.
One fan, calling the RB20 an ‘absolute monster,’ commented: “Looking forward to race weekend 1. RB20 is going to be an absolute monster this year.”
Another RB fan, who looked ‘super-confident’ with the RB29, commented with the caption “Congratulations Red Bull on winning the 2024 Formula 1 Championship.”
From what it appears, Red Bull has already won the ‘best F1 car launch’ title with the RB20. Now the fans have to wait until March 2nd to see the RB20 perform for real at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
