Floyd Mayweather Missed Tank Davis vs Rolly Romero Fight Due to “Family Emergency”

The relationship between Floyd Mayweather and Tank Davis seems to be shaky after seven years. Floyd’s absence was eye-catching in Tank’s bout against ”Rolly” Romero.  Leonerde Ellerbe later clarified it was due to “Family Emergency” but the excuse seemed questionable.

Floyd Mayweather had a huge hand behind Davis’s Stardom today. For seven years, Floyd Mayweather stood behind him but unfortunately the relationship will see its end. At 27, Davis has confirmed that the fight with Rolly will be his very last with Mayweather Promotions.

Davis candidly talked about being free of external decision makers. “It’s my career, so I feel as though I need to be the one that controls my career. It’s time,”. Davis was clear about being free of training wheels and wants to make the calls himself.

Romero went onto stating Davis is nothing without Floyd. “Without Floyd, Gervonta Davis is nothing. He may still have his skill set and all this, you know. But as far as marketing, he has zero personality.”

“He’s actually a piece of s— to most people in the boxing world” Romero dissed Davis for treating people badly.

“He’s ungrateful; Floyd f—ing spoiled him” Romero takes a jibe about Floyd Mayweather treating Davis like a family rather than a fighter and Davis taking it for granted.
