“Kylian Mbappe Will Stay at PSG, This Should Not Affect Our Plans“ Real Madrid’s President Florentino Perez Gets Candid on Los Blanco’s Future

After winning the record 14th UEFA Champions league title, Real Madrid has downplayed what happened with Kylian Mbappé. Florentino Pérez has explained that in the end the Frenchman’s decision ended up prevailing, but this will not affect the future of the Real Madrid.

Club president Perez spent Saturday night celebrating after RMA become European champions of 2022. Madrid completed one of the most impressive Champions League campaigns of all time by beating Liverpool 1-0 in Paris yesterday night.

Real had knocked out PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City to reach the final and got Liverpool as opponent to win the 14th title which no other teams could ever achieved.

Perez , expectedly was in mood after the match as he hailed Courtois as

“the best goalkeeper in the world”

and added that,

“When I leave, Real Madrid will still be the biggest club in the world.”

However, Perez was not in a happy mood a week earlier when PSG forward Kylian Mbappé informed Perez last Saturday that he would not be signing for Real this summer, despite showing huge affection for the Spanish club in the past.

Followed by the decision Mbappé extended his contract with PSG and confirmed that he will be staying in Paris till 2025. Perez was once again asked about this just moments after the Champions League final.

Hilariously Perez responded:

“Mbappé? He does not exist tonight. It’s a Real Madrid party. “It’s a thing of the past. Nothing has happened. Real Madrid had a perfect season.”

He added when asked to explain what happened to Mbappé as Fabrizio Romano Tweeted:

“Let’s see, but for sure not today. Mbappé story is over now, Mbappé will stay at Paris Saint-Germain, this should not affect our plans. We have to respect his decision”
