Kamaru Usman v Colby Covington 2

Dana White, the President of UFC, has commented on the outcome of ‘Edwards vs. Usman 3.’ He also announced that Colby Covington will be receiving the next title shot. The fight between Leon Edwards (21-3 MMA) and Kamaru Usman (20-3 MMA) took place tonight in London, with the welterweight championship on the line.

Leon came into the fight with a remarkable ten-fight winning streak, including a memorable knockout of the former champion back in UFC 278. Interestingly, his last defeat dates back to December 2015 when he was outpointed by ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ at ‘UFC on Fox 17’.

On the other hand, Kamaru Usman (20-3 MMA) stepped into the Octagon with the aim of bouncing back from his title loss to Leon Edwards in August. The loss was only his second in his career and the first since 2013.

In a highly competitive five-round battle, Leon Edwards emerged victorious in the main event of UFC 286 tonight. Securing a majority decision (48-46 x2, 47-47). The fight was extremely close, and even Dana White had difficulty scoring it.

“I don’t know when we’ll do it. But that’s the fight that makes sense,” White said at a post-fight news conference at The O2 Arena. “Colby came here and cut weight and did everything to be here for this fight. He deserves the fight, not to mention he’s the second or third-best guy in the world.”

With confirmation from UFC’s chief business officer Hunter Campbell. White disclosed that the promotion is in the process of arranging a fight between welterweight contenders Belal Muhammad and Shavkat Rakhmonov.
