“I feel like I won the fight” Upset Holly Holm shed tears after narrow split decision loss to Ketlen Viera at UFC Vegas 55

Holly Holm, the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion was visibly upset after her narrow split decision loss to Ketlen Viera at UFC Vegas 55. The former champ thought she had won the fight as she revealed to Daniel Cormier in the post-fight press conference.

Holly Holm has been a professional fighter for a very long time. She was a multiple-time women’s boxing champion before transitioning into MMA. She shocked the world back in 2015 when she head-kicked Ronda Rousey to win the Bantamweight title.

Here is a clip of the octagon interview:

Holly Holm was on the comeback trail to earn another title shot against the winner of the rematch between Julianna Pena and Amanda Nunes. The winner of Holm vs Viera was scheduled to face the champion. With the loss of this fight, Holly Holm has lost her shot at the belt.

“The Preacher’s Daughter” is 40 years old and this may have been her final rally towards the title. When asked about her plans for the future, the emotional veteran said she was still figuring it out as her last few fights have been “one forward and one step back” meaning she has not been making major headway. It is understandable at her current age that retirement might be close by!

But the visibly distraught Holm has a lot of supporters who are claiming that she was robbed in the fight by the judges! The fans claim that Holm outscored Viera and won the fight but the judges did not play fair.

Usually, this is the case when fan-favorite fighters lose fights to judges’ decisions and Holm’s case is no different!
