“I knew that I could do this” Giants’ WR Isaiah Hodgins swiftly influencing fans ahead of divisional matchup vs Eagles

After the New York Giants claimed 24-year-old wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins off waivers from the Buffalo Bills, the player became an irreplaceable cog in the team’s active roster.

The receiver became an integral part of the Giants’ course until the divisional round game against the Philadelphia Eagles. In the wild-card game against the Minnesota Vikings, he completed eight receptions and scored one touchdown.

From a reserve on the practice squad to the NFL playoff semifinals, the journey quickly elevated my performance. in a recent interview, he reminiscences his previous games.

What did Isaiah Hodgins say?

When asked about Hodgins’ reaction ahead of the games against the Eagles, the player said, “I never look past it. I knew that I could do this, but just a couple of months ago I was getting cut from one team and now I’m in the second round of the playoffs.”

Isaiah’s excitement doesn’t diminish his humility as he exclaimed about his journey, “Sometimes I get that overwhelming feeling of just like, ‘Man, I’m so blessed to be here and I’m so thankful.’ I just try to remind myself of that every day.”

The youngster’s father, James Hodgins, was also an NFL fullback. James won the Super Bowl in 2000 with the St. Louis Rams. It seems football runs in the family.

Hodgins Jr. is three games away from winning the ring as his father did. The Giants have a well-balanced offense and defense.

Further, Hodgins has played 10 games for the Giants since his arrival in November and has made 37 receptions for 10.6 yards per catch and scored four touchdowns so far. It will be the most important game of his career as he prepares to compete for the conference title and, eventually, the Super Bowl.

Do you believe Isaiah Hodgins can follow in his father’s footsteps? What’s your prediction for the game? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments.
