The former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been out of active competition since his title defense against Cyril Gane. After signing a contract with PFL, the Cameroonian has now seemingly sent a cryptic message to the reigning WBC boxing heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, leaving many fans excited.
Amid the ongoing rumors of a potential Jones vs Fury bout, Francis’s chance of taking on the Briton seems rather credible considering the confrontation could take place inside a ring instead of an octagon.

Earlier, Tyson too showed interest in taking on the then UFC heavyweight kingpin. Now that Francis is no longer bound by the UFC regulations and holds considerable authoritative and negotiation power at PFL. the dream matchup seems closer to reality than ever.
Controversial Youtuber Jake Paul is also a stakeholder at PFL and he has on many occasions showed interest in arranging a bout between combat sports world’s finest.
When will Francis Ngannou make his PFL debut?
With his agreement with the Professional Fighters League (PFL), he bursts free from the chains of the Octagon, ready to embrace the sweet science. Francis Ngannou, the mighty Predator, is set to make his triumphant return to the octagon in the mid-summer of 2024.
Unfortunately, there are no set opponents currently in talks to fight Ngannou. PFL has its share of decent fighters, but none of them come anywhere close to sharing the level of stardom enjoyed by their counterparts at UFC.
In the boxing realm, opponents like Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could present some interesting matchups although the Tyson bout will likely sell the most PPVs.
Jon Jones also has expressed interest in challenging the former UFC Heavyweight champ. Whenever his UFC contract expires, we could see ‘Bones’ take on the ‘Predator.
