Israel Adesanya sheds light on WWE aspirations ahead of UFC 287 fight against Alex Pereira

The takeover of WWE by UFC parent company Endeavor has been a hot topic in the world of combat sports and the entertainment industry this week. Israel Adesanya also discussed the ground-breaking deal and hinted at something surprising for the future.

On Monday, Dana White’s Ultimate Fighting Championship and Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment merged in a historic deal that created a $21 billion entertainment juggernaut under the leadership of Ari Emanuel’s Endeavor Group Holdings.

What does Israel Adesanya have to say about pursuing a wrestling career in the future?

Some UFC fighters have already expressed their views on the historic contract. Adesanya also expressed his opinions during a TMZ Sports interview. In addition to talking about his upcoming fight with Alex Pereira, the former middleweight champion also brought up the Endeavor deal.

“Later on down the track that’s later on down the track. Um, I’m still…I mean that era The Attitude Era was my error of wrestling and I’ve been drawing even inspiration I posted something a couple days ago maybe the Highlight between The Rock and Stone Cold.” Adesanya said.

The Last Stylebender makes it abundantly clear that he is a huge lover of wrestling, and that his favorite period was the attitude era. The 33-year-old MMA fighter did not assuredly say, however, whether he would also like to try wrestling after he exits mixed martial arts.

Wrestling may be on the horizon, but for the time being, the former middleweight king is only focused on regaining his crown against Alex Pereira. UFC 287 will take place on April 8 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, and will feature a highly thrilling title fight between Izzy and Poatan.
