‘It feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge’ Cristiano Ronaldo leaves heartfelt message to fans as Manchester United terminates contract with CR-7

Portugal is set to begin its World Cup journey against Ghana at Stadium 974, Ras Abu Aboud, Doha, Qatar. But their captain, Christiano Ronaldo, is going through several issues regarding his former club, Manchester United. The soccer maestro didn’t even appear in the only friendly the Portuguese team played against Nigeria before the world cup 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan has shaken the soccer world. A series of unpleasant truths were revealed by the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

In that interview, CR7 stated that he sees Manchester United as a marketing club and that, as a result, the Reds will not win any trophies in the coming years. Ronaldo also expressed that he does not regard former manager Ralf Ragnick as a coach and does not even respect current manager Erik ten Hag.

At one point, Ronaldo even claimed that he was so close to joining Manchester City but didn’t join due to the intervention of Sir Alex Ferguson, though later on, the management of Man City denied the fact

The Portuguese captain didn’t stop there; he accused the Glazer family of not taking good care of the club and also criticized his former teammates, Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville. Between all this chaos, the main accused party, the management of Manchester United, has remained silent as they are waiting for the full interview.

And after releasing the full interview, the speculated decision came to light that Ronaldo had to leave Manchester United with immediate effect. The decision was taken mutually by both parties. On Tuesday, the club stated:

“Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.”

As a response to that statement from the club, Ronaldo released a statement on his social media handles regarding his decision while expressing love for the Manchester United fans.

I love Manchester United and I love the fans; that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge. I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”
