“Jermaine’s got a good duck-and-dive style,”: Anthony Joshua makes brilliant comeback beating Jermain Franklin on points

Anthony Joshua finally got a victory in almost three years. Joshua had to give his everything to make sure he doesn’t lose the fight against Jermain Franklin, a boxer who is yet to suffer a defeat in his professional boxing career.

In the O2 Arena in London, UK, on April 1st, the British boxer returned to the ring with fresh energy. AJ defeated Jermain Franklin in points after the two heavyweights battled for twelve rounds. It was an intense fight for the two boxers and Anthony was the one who emerged victorious in the end.

Since his professional boxing career depended on it, Joshua had to choose a bout at this pivotal point in his career so that he could remain confident in his ability to prevail. As a result, a lot of boxing promoters thought that AJ’s greatest chance right now would be to face Jermaine. Surely, the British player did not disappoint as he dominated nearly every round.

The former heavyweight unified champion has been going through a bad patch. In 2019,the Brit boxer suffered his first defeat against Andy Ruiz. Even though in the immediate rematch AJ defeated Andy but little did he know his worst days are incoming.

Having a victory against the Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev, AJ went on to challenge the Ukrainian boxing legend Oleksandr Usyk. Two years and two back to back defeats against The Cat almost put an end to AJ’s career.

Good news for The Briton’s fans is that their favorite is back on the winning track. AJ is not just back rather the former IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion of the world is now aiming big. The 33-year-old boxer has set his goal to fight Tyson Fury next even though The Gypsy King has been ignoring him for years now.
