“They robbed Jose Aldo”: Fans go wild as Conor Mcgregor wants to box Jose Aldo after shocking draw with Jeremey Stephens on Gamebred Boxing 4

Jose Aldo made his professional boxing debut yesterday at Gamebred Boxing 4. However, after the boxing match, Conor McGregor showed interest to fight Aldo in a boxing match which drove the fans crazy.

After suffering a defeat against Merab Dvalishvili, Aldo retired from MMA. The Brazilian is widely considered one of the finest UFC fighters of all time. This year, on February 10, at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil’s Novo Uniao Upper Arena, Jose Aldo made his eagerly anticipated debut in professional boxing against 33-year-old Alberto Emmanuel Zambrano.

As part of Jorge Masvidal’s Gamebred Boxing 4 event, Aldo (31-8 MMA) squared off against his former UFC foe Jeremy Stephens in a boxing bout on Saturday, April 1 at the Fiserv Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Aldo has a long-standing rivalry with Lil Heathen. In 2018 during a UFC Fight Night event, Aldo defeated the American with a knockout. After five years, their animosity rekindled as the American fighter got a chance to take revenge for his UFC loss. However, the referee declared the bout a draw with both boxers getting 57 from the referee.

How did fans react to Conor McGregor showing interest to fight Jose Aldo?

As soon as the match ended, fans took to Twitter to express their dissatisfaction with the result. According to many boxing analysts, Aldo was the clear winner but he got robbed. Many MMA fighters also took a stand to support the former featherweight champion.

Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor also posted a tweet. However, the Irish MMA superstar didn’t take a side but rather gave a subtle hint about him fighting the Brazilian in the ring.

“Me and Aldo should box.” Conor tweeted.

Only time will say The Notorious will box Aldo but the two also go way back. In 2015, Conor ended Aldo’s dominance in the featherweight division by winning the UFC 194 headliner. Aldo would definitely be interested to get an opportunity to take his revenge.
