‘Judges are drunk’ UFC fighters react to Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev ending in split draw

UFC 282 will forever be remembered as one of the most controversial cards in the story of the sport. The judging for the main and the co-main event both were controversial. The Jan Blachowicz vs Magomed Ankalaev fight ended in a draw while the Paddy Pimblett vs Jared Gordon fight went unanimously in favor of ‘The Baddy’

The main event started off pretty competitive. In the second and third rounds, Jan managed to damage Magomed’s feet badly. In the last two rounds, Magomed showed his Greco-Roman Wrestling prowess and dominated Blachowicz. Everyone expected Ankalaev to win but the judges scored the contest a draw.

The co-main event saw even less competition and the result was even more controversial. Jared consistently hit Paddy with his left and landed some very good leg kicks. He also parried many of Pimblett’s shots. He stuffed ‘The Baddy’ against the cage and beat him up pretty much the hold third round.

The fight was expected to go in Gordon’s favor but when the results were announced, Jared didn’t even secure a round. Neither fans nor fighters were pleased with such horrible judging and the reaction began to appear swiftly on Twitter.

Light-heavyweight fighter Dustin ‘The Hanyak’ Jacoby wasn’t impressed by either fighter’s performance as he wrote, “This is great for me and I truly believe I can beat both of those guys.”

Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who sparred with Ankalaev leading up to this fight wrote, “Ankalaev won this fight. Give the man his fuc***g belt.”

Another fighter from the same division, Johnny Walker wrote, “I told you good fighters but boring personality”

Current Bantamweight champion Aljamain ‘Funkmaster’ Sterling was left speechless, “I have no words #UFC282”
