Karim Benzema’s brother debunks Real Madrid return rumors

Recently, Karim Benzema has been linked with moves outside Saudi Arabia, with many clubs eyeing the France international striker. Many reports have stated the possibility of such a transfer due to the manager of his current club Al-Ittihad being unhappy with the star striker.

Karim Benzema’s brother debunks Real Madrid return rumors

In recent reports, it was stated that Carlo Ancelotti could be interested in the return move of his team’s former captain and striker but the president said no to the move. He said that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was not convinced by the return of the French international.

These reports did seem initially true for all the fans as well because of the struggles the club has been having to find a good striker replacement since Benzema left. But according to Fabrizio Romano, Benzema’s brother Gressy Benzema came out to label such reports as fake news with no basis and Karim never thought of planning a return move to his former club.

This would have been a disheartening eye-opener for the Real Madrid fans, who had been dreaming of a marvelous return for the French forward after the report by such a reliable journalist.

Benzema’s camp refuting Saudi exit reports

The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner has been reported to want a move out of the Saudi Pro League back to Europe in the last few weeks. Multiple sources have recently claimed that the French striker has not been happy in the Saudi League and has been looking for moves to the Premier League because the relationship between him and his current manager has been destroyed due to his late arrival for training camp during the mid-season break for the club.

Even though the transfer speculations have been loud and clear, Benzema’s camp has maintained calmness and has always been seen refuting the reports. According to Sky Sports Football, Karim Benzema’s camp has strongly refused any reports suggesting his displeasure with the club and his move out of the SPL.

It would be interesting to see Benzema’s future and how it turns out to be with all the drama revolving around it. It is obviously clear that the French striker still has a lot of demand in the European leagues with the clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United and many others, all rooting for world-class strikers who can score huge number of goals for them.

Do you think Benzema would like a return to his familiar grounds or is it a just another rumour giving false hopes for the fans? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
