While Hamilton understands the formidable task of overtaking Max Verstappen, he remains set on pushing his W14 to secure a podium finish on Sunday.
Lewis predicts that Max Verstappen will have a quick start, stating that his main focus for the race will be Alonso. “We are ahead of the Ferraris. Max will be gone most likely. But if I can hold on to Alonso and give him hell, that’s what I’ll do,” said Hamilton.
The Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a special place for Lewis, it was here in the 2007 Canadian Grand Prix where the British driver won his first race with McLaren in his debut season.
