Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, PSG to face season-defining week ahead of UEFA Champion league game vs Bayern Munich

PSG, one of the heavyweights in European football is set to face challenges of the highest order upon the arrival of the month of valentines as the season will be defined from now on.

Marseille, Monaco, and Bayern Munich in succession are the upcoming challenges to maneuver for the French Capital-based club in different competitions as the Galtier-managed side looks to achieve something special they never before.

Paris Saint Germain drew against the Marseille side on their Coupe De France round of 16 which will be two-legged to decide the fate and the Ligue 1 champion will visit Orange Velodrome stadium on Feb 8.

Monaco will host Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe’s PSG on February 11 for the Ligue 1 round of 23 where the table toppers will be eyeing to extend the gap with Marseille and start the week on a positive note.

Bayern Munich will travel to the city of Eifel Tower on Valentine’s day for the quest of love for the UEFA Champions League as the two giant clubs will fight a duel to advance to the next stage.

However, PSG and Bayern have a long history of love lost between them after the two heavyweights tend to face each other and sparked a rivalry between them. A settlement on Feb 14 will be mouth-watering and promised so much to the fans.

Christophe Galtier will face his ultimate challenges in the upcoming week to test his caliber and the coach is looking forward to Messi bailing him out of the situation. “I ask the team to play for Leo and to do the work for him,” the coach said.

“We need to free him up from doing certain tasks. His teammates are going to have to put in twice as much effort when it comes to winning the ball back and in terms of movement so he can play the kind of passes in tight spaces that are so rare in football these days.”- The Frenchman further added.

Neymar is back in training after suffering a minor muscle injury but Mbappe’s availability remains a concern for PSG after the teenage sensation was forced off the field against Montpellier due to a thigh injury.

PSG will be desperate to liberate the UCL curse off themselves and Galtier will be hoping to achieve the Golden Stag which his club was missing throughout their history and looking forward to winning the war by winning the battles one.
