Mavericks Point Guard Luka Doncic Score 30-10-4 on Returning from Calf Injury Vs Utah Jazz

On his return to the team, Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic scored a career-high 30 points against the Utah Jazz in their fourth playoff game. Despite the Jazz’s 100-99 victory, Luka Doncic injury comeback will help the Mavericks advance to the next round.

Doncic last played for the Dallas outfit on April 10th- in the last game of their regular season.  He has been sidelined for about 13 days with a calf strain. His injury status upgraded during game 3, and it was expected that he would return in game 5. But he made a surprise return in the 4th game of the series and scored an impressive 30 points on his return. Along with that he also had 10 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Luka Doncic injury did not seem to affect the Mavericks that badly. They might have lost game 1, but came back strongly to win the next two games. There were doubts about how long Doncic could be on the pitch, but he shut down all the noise and doubts with a spectacular performance. In fact, he was the leader in all categories for the Mavs.

Unfortunately for Dallas, though, they lost by a mere one point margin, and now the series sits at a stalemate. Jalen Brunson led the line in the absence of Slovenian, and he did a pretty good job. The Mavericks fans will be hoping that the dynamic duo of Doncic and Brunson can springboard them to the next round.
