Man United manager Erik ten Hag provides update on appeal of Casemiro’s three-game suspension following altercation with Will Hughes

Manchester United are ruthless and dominating over a long period of time after winning thirteen straight games at home but now has a difficult time to maneuver after Casemiro saw red following a burst against Crystal Palace.

The chaos took place during Palace’s visit to Old Trafford after Antony involved in a fight with Schulpp and the things went uglier since then as the teammates needed to intervein between the two.

However, the incident between Brazilian Casemiro and Palace’s Will Highes demanded assistance from VAR where Casemiro grabbed Hughes’s neck and throwed him to the ground which left referee Andre Marriner no choice but to show a marching order to the former Real Madrid champion.

When asked if United considered an appeal in the days after the red card, Ten Hag replied: “Consider, yeah. Still it’s for me not the right decision but I don’t think we have a chance in a legal process.”

“I always have to play with the players who are available and we have a squad, we have many good players in our squad who are also not playing in the starting XI and I have to do it. After a game I can’t say Casemiro is not there.”- Ten Hag further added.

This was the first straight red card Casemiro received throughout his career and given the importance he has to the success of the team, Man Utd certainly missed the service of ‘The Tank.’

Casemiro will miss the double header Premier League clash against Leeds and also remained to be in the stands in the Leicester game which will take place following the Europa League clash against Barcelona where the five time UCL winner will be eligible to compete.

Injury to Christian Eriksen and now a suspension to the Tank certainly left a hole to fill up in Man Utd midfield, Fred, Sabitzer and McTominay will look to fill the void left by the veterans.

Manchester United are well and truly back in the drivers seat after Erik Ten Hag steadied the ship for them and the Red Devils will be setting their objectives high with a promise to deliver what Man Utd fans were searching for years: Trophies.
