Many NFL fans are familiar with the legacy of the Chiefs’ two-time MVP Patrick Mahomes, the phenom who led the Kansas City Chiefs to uplift two Super Bowl titles within four years of span, 50 years from clinching their first one in 1969.
While the star player stunned the football world with his athletic prowess, little did many know that Mahomes wife was involved with soccer as well. Now it seems like his daughter is also following the same path.
Patrick Mahomes surprised by Daughter’s soccer abilities
Like a great athlete on the field, the Chiefs’ reigning quarterback is also a great family man and sometimes shares his happiness with his sweet family containing his wife Brittany Mahomes, and two little toddlers with the netizens.
The quarterback, however, usually loves to keep his family life far away from the attachment of his on-field activity. Recently he and his wife Brittany discovered their little girl Sterling Skye with soccer prowess.
Even though Brittany played soccer in college and for one year professionally abroad in Iceland before she became a fitness trainer, it still comes as a surprise to them that their young daughter seems to be already pursuing the sport.
“We never taught her how to play soccer. She watched it from going to the Kansas City Current games with Brittany. Then we got home and all of a sudden she was kicking the soccer ball around”.
The couple shared some clips of their daughter Sterling in an Instagram story. Pat shared a story featuring his daughter’s way of making a goal. The young couple seemed very enthusiastic and happy as they discovered a little Soccer player in their family without teaching her.
How old is Sterling Mahomes?
The 27-year-old embraced his fatherhood in February 2021 with his first kid Sterling Sky Mahomes. Sterling just turned two this year. In 2022 Brittany and Patrick welcomed their second kid Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.

The Chief’s two Super Bowl winning quarterback looks determined to not exert any pressure on his children. Rather he wants to choose their own career prioritizing their dreams that he told in an interview with People.
“I don’t know what my kids’ dreams are going to be, but I want them to work hard at it and try to achieve those,” he said. “Now they’re too young now to understand, but when they see this as they get older, I want them to know that they can go out there and chase their dreams and still have a great family at home”.
Almost all great athletes have a tendency to give their children the freedom of choice regarding their own career and the Chief’s starter looks to be on the same path. Sterling is yet too little to expect a bigger role, nevertheless, the little one already grasped the eye of the netizens with the charisma of her dynamic little foot.
