PSG superstar Lionel Messi’s 700th goal celebration vs Marseille heavily protected by security officers carrying riot shields

Lionel Messi scored his 700th goal for clubs after being on the scoresheet for PSG against Marseille but was heavily protected by security officers after objects were thrown aimed at the Argentine.

History belongs to Lionel Messi as the little magician became only the second footballer after Cristiano Ronaldo to notch 700 goals for clubs in the history of football.

It was PSG’s trip to the Stade Orange Velodrome stadium to face the rival Marseille and PSG got better of the host with dominating display, thanks to Lionel Messi and his fellow teammate Kylian Mbappe.

Messi created history in the 23rd minute of the game after Kylian Mbappe supplied a pinpoint pass to the Argentine as there was very little doubt over Lionel Messi’s finish.

After Scoring, Messi ran straight to the corner flag to celebrate with Mbappe but it was stacked with away fans and they started throwing missiles and smoke at the Argentine.

The security officers were very quick to shield the recent World Cup winner and engraved the space with riot shields to maximize the protection as the two superstars were celebrating together.

This is becoming a common trend in France to throw violating objects to the ground, sometimes aiming at certain players which is disgusting and the Marseille fans were not diffrent in breed.

However, Lionel Messi was not rushed at all as he was seen quite relaxed and unfazed while celebrating with the teammates after reaching his milestone.

It was Messi’s 28th goal for Paris Saint Germain after scoring a mammoth 672 goals for Barcelona back in his Catalan days, Messi surpassed the 700th club and joined the space with his arch-nemesis Cristiano.

Cristiano Ronaldo reached the milestone a few weeks afore and now Messi joining him certainly described the rivalry they have within themselves as they keep hunting records and keep chasing each other.

Lionel Messi’s future is hanging up in the air with PSG but the little magician clearly enjoying the success galore he is having at PSG and a win against Bayern on the return leg of the UCL round of sixteen could extend the smile of the Argentine sensation.
