Roger Federer shares fashion tips on his return to Laver Cup despite his packed schedule as driver

Draped in all-black attire, Roger Federer looked as chic as an Oscar-winning artist who revels in the aftermath of his success. The Swiss legend was back at the Laver Cup, a year after he departed the tennis scene, in a heartbreaking farewell.

No longer sporting the tears that enveloped him in London, the 42-year-old was basking in the tribunals of life post-retirement as he stepped onto the black carpet in Vancouver. Federer has been a major presence in 2023’s major events, from accompanying Kate Middleton in the Wimbledon final to hosting the Met-Gala.

Federer’s tips to wear tuxedo

Roger Federer shared some valuable tips on embracing the tuxedo as an attire. Looking ravishing on the black carpet, Federer commented on getting accustomed to the dress.

“It’s no different than home. It’s like walking on your carpet.”, he said to the reporter, who intervened with a stunned repetition of ‘home?’

“My advice would be to wear the tuxedo and not allow the tuxedo to wear you. Sometimes, we walk in tracksuits and then when change to suits, we feel overwhelmed. We feel sweaty and suffocated. You got embrace it and finally feel ‘I feel exceptional’.”, he added.

Since Roger Federer hung his boots, he has reinvented himself as a fashion designer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He has funded the education of over 1.5 million African children through his companies.

Federer’s illustrious career containing more than 1,500 matches, 103 singles titles, and 20 grand slams ended last year, as he played a doubles match alongside his longtime friend and rival Rafael Nadal at the Laver Cup.

Federer opens up on busy schedule with kids

Roger Federer sat down for a Q&A session before the commencement of the 2023 Laver Cup. A myriad of questions were hurled at the Swiss star, most of which dealt with his schedule and life at home.

The 20-time-grand slam champion was as amiable as ever in conversation and said he was very busy.

“Life is different. I am a professional driver now. Having 4 kids changes things. I am a logistics man and an organiser.”, he said with a giggle.

“I go to the gym. I work out 5 days per week. I am a bit heavier now but I am on a diet.”, he added to much laughter from the audience.

“I work with partners, and a couple of passion projects that I can not reveal yet. There are so many fun things to be part of. It looks great.”, he concluded.
