Francis Ngannou is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight fighters in MMA history. Though On Saturday, it was announced that UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou would be released, shocking the MMA community. Jake Paul was similarly taken aback by the news and quickly tweeted about it. Although the exact reasons were never revealed by the 36-year-old, a recent interview with UFC president Dana White revealed some hidden truths.

The Youtuber-turned-boxer is quite optimistic about The Predator’s career. In his latest, he explained, “Francis Ngannou is the baddest man on the planet and is a free agent because he chose to be; he’s the heavyweight champ in MMA and will be until he loses. They are not happy about this. But it’s reality, and they have to deal with it. They have to live with that every day.”

Despite this, the heavyweight MMA fighter posted an image on Instagram with a member of his family wearing a PFL t-shirt a couple of days ago, raising rumors that he will be joining the PFL, namely Jake Paul’s “Super Fight” division. Having said that, the divisive figure has high regard for the Predator.

The news of Ngannou joining the free agent came from the UfC president. Who even stated some of the possible reasons for quitting the organization. White stated, “He can go wherever he wants and do whatever he wants. I think Francis is at a place right now where he doesn’t want to take a risk. He feels like he can fight lesser opponents and make more money. The guy weighs over 300lb, just had knee surgery, and hasn’t had a real training camp. I think that probably has a lot to do with it.”

The American businessman thinks the conflict between Francis Ngannou and his former training partner, Ciryl Gane, has something to do with this. Because he lost his title and suffered a significant knee injury during the battle. So he doesn’t want to take any risks before the match.
