“This shit is far from over!”: Henry Cejudo demands Dana White to book bout vs Merab Dvalishvili after Aljamain Sterling loss at UFC 288

Following his loss to Aljamain Sterling, Henry Cejudo appeared unsure regarding the continuation of his MMA career. With a recent tweet asking to face off against Merab Dvalishvili next, Triple C seems to have changed his mind.

To reclaim the bantamweight title, Cejudo came out of retirement this week after three years. The former two-division champ had been competing in the championship picture for such a long time that the loss could have left him aimless and confused.. However, the olympic gold medalist is trying to make sure he is not done with the UFC.

Does Henry Cejudo want to face Merab Dvalishvili ?

The former flyweight and bantamweight champion lost to the Funk Master in the UFC 288 main event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, despite putting on an incredible octagon performance. Henry intends to first face Merab Dvalishvili, a friend of Sterling, in order to exact revenge on Sterling.

Cejudo didn’t provide any precise information to Joe Rogan during the post-fight octagon interview regarding whether he intends to continue competing at the bantamweight division. Yesterday Cejudo posted a tweet expressing his desire to continue his MMA journey saying, “This shit is far from over! @danawhite I want @MerabDvalishvil head on a plate!”

Dvalishvili is currently ranked second in the 135-pound weight division of the UFC. Considering the fact that his friend Aljamain Sterling is the division’s current champion, Merab’s career graph and advancement suggested that the two should square off next, but the Georgian fighter had previously declined the opportunity to snatch the gold strap from his friend.

The Machine, who has a remarkable nine-bout winning streak as of right now, reacted to Henry’s fight offer and showed interest by replying, “Let’s Go! I will take another of @funkmasterMMA‘s leftovers for now!”

Do you think the contrast in their respective relationships with Aljamain Sterling will make the clash between Henry Cejudo and Merab Dvalishvili highly interesting? Let us know what you think in the comment area.
