Transfer Rumor: Paul Pogba Allegedly Returning to Juventus Upon Contract Expiry at Manchester United

Paul Pogba is rumored to be close to a return to Juventus, as his Manchester United contract is set to expire next month.

The marriage between Paul Pogba and Manchester United hasn’t quite worked out. The French international is far from the reaching the heights he was expected to at Old Trafford. It was not just Pogba’s on field inconsistencies that made him news, but also his off-field antics. Clashes between club and agent, controversial interviews- you name it.

Although he started well, his form has drastically fallen away. He has fallen out with managers, been dropped multiple times, and what not. With constant rumors about his future a topic of conversation, it seems that that is also about to be sorted. Pogba’s contract at United is set to end next month. With no transfer fee required in acquiring his services, many top clubs are seemingly interested in him.

One such club is Juventus. Pogba played for the Bianconeri between 2012 to 2016. he joined them from Manchester United for free. He has largely successful time in Turin, with four league titles, and multiple Italian cups to his name.  The 2018 World Cup winner was also a part of the 2015 Juventus side that went to the Champions League finals. He also won multiple individual accolades.

Pogba’s performances at Juventus led to him returning to Manchester United in 2016 for a then- world record transfer fee of€105 million (£89.3 million). The fee was the highest paid by an English club at the time.

Juventus are now seemingly interested to reunite with their former player. As per reports, they have invited his agent to start negotiations over a possible move. Pogba, too, is reportedly keen on the move.
