UFC veteran Nick Diaz will meet Robbie Lawler at UFC 266 for a five round middleweight bout. It is a rematch between the fighters that took place nearly two decades ago. They met at UFC 47 in 2004.

However, Diaz is returning to the octagon after 6 years and a win will be his first since 2012. Lawler, on the other hand, had last fight in 2020, but hasn’t won since 2017. He is currently ranked at No. 15 in the middleweight division.

Although this bout was scheduled for 170 pounds, it was moved to the middleweight division as per Diaz’s request just days before the event. Since, Diaz is appearing after a decade, he seems out of shape and slow. Lawler was more or less active in the UFC with fewer intervals.

Though both fighters are irregular in the Octagon, the fight will be interesting as there will be a considerable amount of money for the fighters.
