UFC legend Nate Diaz chokes out a guy on street after brawl breaks out at Misfits boxing event

There are numerous reasons for Nate Diaz’s popularity and the love he gets from the fans. One of which is his super real and confrontational personality. Nate Diaz has likely participated in more fights outside of the ring than he has in his whole career as a professional fighter. Diaz added one more brawl to that tally as he was seen choking out a guy in a crowded street in New Orleans.

Diaz was present with his team at Orleans to watch his training partner Chris Avila fight Paul Bamba at a Misfits boxing event held at the XULA Convention Center . After the event in New Orleans, Diaz abruptly ended someone’s night on the street after provoking a fight with reality TV star Chase DeMoor by hurling a water bottle at him during the event. The person Diaz choked out was Rodney Petersen, a popular social media user known for his Logan Paul likeness.

DeMoor a Netflix reality star and former American football player made his boxing debut earlier in the same event but was disqualified after punching his downed opponent. Talking about his scuffle with Diaz, he tweeted “Nate Diaz decided to get mad and throw a prime bottle on me, that’s cute bro. Just next time don’t run. And stop spending your nights in the club trying to use your dried up MMA career to pull college girls while you’re out in New Orleans”

In response to the viral video, UFC President Dana White humorously questioned whether the person Diaz choked out was probably Logan Paul. Diaz “is going to get sued like a motherf-cker,” he continued. Even Diaz’s arch-rival Conor McGregor came in support of him, tweeting “Hahaha Nate on a rampage tonight! Nate, let’s go! Hahaha.”

Who is Nate Diaz fighting next?

Diaz who was last seen inside the UFC octagon in September 2022, where he fought and defeated Tony Ferguson and left the organization will be taking on YouTuber-turned-professional boxer Jake Paul. Paul who is coming of a split-decision loss to Tommy Fury will look to get back into the win Colum with  a victory against a massive name like Nate Diaz.

Talking about the fight, Diaz says “Besides Canelo, he’s the biggest thang in boxing, I’m here to conquer that. I’m the King of combat sports and then I’m headed back to get my UFC belts. I f—ed up Conor for acting out and now here I am again, like a Super Hero of the Real Fight game, the King of the Real Fight game.”
