“For me, I just want to see Darren do well” UFC champ Leon Edwards looking forward Darren Till’s future

For a UFC fighter, not all days go the same. One day he is at the top of the world with his pick physique and athleticism then the next he falls from grace after losing his form. At 30 years, Darren Till has seen it all and his fellow countryman Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards has come forward with words of hope for his peer.

At a recent press conference, the Welterweight king was asked about the struggling Till to which he replied,

“For me, I just want to see Darren do well, you know? I feel like he’s a little bit lost as far as what he’s doing and where he’s training. One day he’s in Thailand, and one day he’s with Khamzat. But, yeah, for me, I just want him to somehow find his path, wherever it is.”

“Either it’s back in Liverpool where he started or wherever he ends up and just get the confidence back in yourself that you had in 2019 where he thought he was the best in the world and just bring that back into his next fight. I wish him well,” the class act concluded.

What is Darren Till doing wrong compared to Leon?

Back in 2019, both fighters were in an interesting spot. Darren was a fan favorite then while Leon was fighting his way to the top. The two even engaged in short talks amongst themselves getting fans excited about a potential match-up down the line. Unfortunately, something went terribly wrong at some point.

Leon has managed to beat Kamaru on their second outing and will now defend his title on a third bout at UFC London. The ‘Gorilla’ lost to Dricus Du Plessis recently and no new update about his future fights has been announced. He has also been shifting up his training camp a lot lately so he may no longer spar with Khamzat Chimaev.

What do you think is next for Darren Till?
