“Abu Dhabi, smash his face, finish him”: Khamzat Chimaev predicts victory vs Kamaru Usman would force UFC to give him title shot next

Khamzat Chimaev is anxiously awaiting for his next fight, but has the UFC officially announced a matchup for him yet? Borz is nearly certain that his upcoming fight will be against Kamaru Usman, and he has also offered some predictions for the much awaited battle.

Chimaev has competed in six fights and has won every one of them. The 28-year-old fighter prevailed over Gilbert Burns and Kevin Holland last year. The Swedish welterweight has often said that elite competitors avoid him on purpose, but he has been seeking to get a chance to fight Kamaru Usman for a while now.

What did Khamzat Chimaev say regarding his potential matchup against Kamaru Usman?

Borz reaffirmed to fans that he is prepared to carry on with his octagon journey in a video that was uploaded to his YouTube channel. In UFC 294 he will face The Nigerian Nightmare, according to the former Swedish national wrestling champion.

“Usman wants to fight. I’ll make his last fight. He wants money. He knows where the money is. Now I’m going to fight this guy in Abu Dhabi and smash his face, finish him. Then they have to give me that title shot.” Khamzat said.

UFC 294 is scheduled to take place on October 21, 2023 at the Etihad Arena of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Swedish fighter has said he’s been alright training in Abu Dhabi to face the former welterweight champion.

“UFC told us we have a fight in Abu Dhabi. So that’s what I’m waiting for. I’m already here in Dubai, living here, training camp. Everything is good. So I’ve been in shape a long time ago.” Chimaev added.

UFC 294 : Borz vs The Nigerian Nightmare?

It would surely be an exciting fight to see if Chimaev vs. Usman is confirmed as the main event of UFC 294. Leon Edwards, on the main card of UFC 286 at London’s O2 Arena, handed The Nigerian Nightmare his second consecutive loss. Thus, if the two welterweight top contenders compete, the stakes will be pretty high.

The former welterweight champion appears to be a done deal for Khamzat, but the Swedish fighter recently said he is open to face anyone, middleweights or welterweights. After Israel Adesanya’s most recent impressive victory over Alex Pereira, Borz had even expressed interest in facing The Last Stylebender.
