Aljamain Sterling slams “as* clown” Henry Cejudo following injury withdrawal ahead of UFC 292

Aljamain Sterling has launched a scathing verbal assault on Henry Cejudo, as the tables have turned. Sterling is now criticizing Cejudo for pulling out of his upcoming fight and has resorted to using strong language to criticize the former champion.

In the main event of UFC 288 held at the Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, the former flyweight and bantamweight champion, Cejudo, squared off against Sterling.

Despite Cejudo’s efforts, Sterling successfully defended his championship and retained his gold strap. There was some confusion regarding Sterling’s next title defense bout.

Henry Cejudo slammed Sterling for declining UFC 292 title defense

The scheduled main event for UFC 292 has been set to feature the current Bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling, against ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley. However, The Funk Master initially expressed uncertainty about his participation in the event due to health concerns.

Sterling later directed the blame to O’Malley, as Dana White emphasized his confidence that the fight would indeed occur as scheduled. Also, Henry Cejudo took the chance to slam Aljamain for trying to avoid the fight against Sugar.

Bantamweight Champion takes dig at “dirty little weasel” Henry Cejudo

Recently, another intriguing matchup for the already-packed UFC 292 was revealed. After Dana White’s announcement that Henry Cejudo would next face Marlon Chito Vera, the former two-division champion was expected to step into the octagon.

Now that Henry Cejudo’s out of his fight due to injury concerns, The Funk Master is now back at attacking Henry for the same cause.

“‘The Savage’ you guys remember that? ‘The Savage’, texting Dana [White] saying ‘If that little p*ssy doesn’t want to fight, I’ll take the fight’, isn’t it funny how the roles are reversed now? This little savage is no longer a savage, interesting. For me, I call that being a dirty little weasel.” Sterling said.

Following his loss to Aljamain Sterling, Henry initially displayed disinterest to continue his MMA career. Later, Triple C changed his mind and wanted either Merab Dvalishvil to be his next opponent or take on Sugar Sean if Sterling pulls out.

“Trying to disparage my name in front of the fans and make it seem like I don’t want to fight. ‘Oh that wasn’t that bad of a fight so you should be able to turn around’, guys, I’m telling you from experience.” Sterling added.

The highly anticipated UFC 292 main event is set to take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Boston’s TD Garden. ‘Sugar’ Sean and ‘The Funk Master’ are scheduled to go head-to-head in this matchup. Aljamain Sterling, the current champion, is preparing to defend his title for the fourth time.
