The Buffalo Bills’ famous safety, Damar Hamlin, again came into the spotlight (don’t worry, he’s fine) with a revolutionary action that will help save lives.

The Bills’ safety suffered a cardiac arrest on the field during the game between the Bills and Bengals on January 2. The paramedics’ medical personnel performed excellent prompt CPR, which saved the athlete’s life. Later, he was taken to the UC Medical Center for further treatment.
To honor and express gratitude to that personnel, Damar recently took an initiative to raise awareness about identifying cardiac arrest symptoms and administering hands-only CPR.
What did Damar Hamlin do by taking the initiative?
The 24-year-old safety collaborated with the American Heart Association to spread the awareness program’s activity. In an Instagram post last night, he released the news. “Excited to be teaming up with @american_heart in a BIG way! The Damar Hamlin 3 for Heart challenge is live! 3️⃣ easy steps to save a life,” Damar wrote in the caption.
In the video, he again thanked the doctors, medical teams, and fans for supporting him during this difficult period. Hamlin also made things more interesting by inviting some big names to join the initiative. He wrote, “Starting with the 🐐’s! @tombrady,@michelleobama, and @kingjames you have all been challenged!”

Hamlin referred to the initiative as #3forHeart, denoting three steps to completing the challenge. “Step one, got to heart.org/3 to watch a short video to learn hands-only CPR,” Damar elucidated. “Step two, donate to the AHA to fund CPR awareness and education, and step three, challenge three friends to do the same.”
The goal of this program is to make sure that everyone who has a cardiac arrest gets the right help. It literally increases the victim’s chances of survival exponentially.
Damar wishes for everyone to come forward and step away from their positions. For this reason, he mentioned James, Brady, and Obama to attract the people needed to realize the vision.
