Buffaloes’ HC Deion Sanders sparks controversial over bizarre statement on QB Recruitments

The Colorado Buffaloes’ head coach, Deion Sanders, has the eyes to recognize potential in young footballers, but he demands more than potential.

Deion had his fair share of versatility in his career, as any professional should. The eight-time pro bowler played professional baseball for more than ten years in addition to football. Nonetheless, he released an album during that glorious period that reached number 70 on the US hip-hop top chart in 1994.

When it comes to peculiarity and being the best at what he does, the Buffaloes’ HC has revealed his requirement for a new player in the quarterback position.

What requirements is Deion Sanders looking for?

The two-time Super Bowl champion has recently been responsible for the Buffaloes’ football program. Sanders discussed his future plans for the Boulders on the Rich Eisen Show.

“We want mother, father, you know, dual parents,” the NFL Hall of Famer revealed. “We want that kid to be 3.5 and up because he’s got to be smart.”

“He can’t make bad decisions off the field. At all. Because he has to be a leader of men,” the 55-year-old explained. “There are so many different attributes and what we look for when we see a quarterback. And, would love a coach’s son.”

Deion started his coaching career with a high school-level program at Prime Prep Academy in 2012. In 2020, he moved up to the college level after becoming the HC at Jackson State. In the following two years, he became SWAC champion, SWAC East Division champion, and SWAC Coach of the Year twice.

In December last year, the Colorado boulders named their leader, and since then, he has begun to reshape the team for their future journey and come up with a unique requirement for the youngsters. He himself has a son who plays football, but it seems he wants more of them on his team.

  1. The only requirements I have an issue with, are the, 2 parent home and coach’s son. 2-parent households, don’t necessarily produce well rounded, balanced kids. And I think a coach’s son is probably more of a preference than requirement. But what if the coach has a daughter that’s better than the boys? Would he consider her?
