Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes focusing on winning the first 2023 NFL game against Lions without Chris Jones

NFL season 2023 is just around as the teams gear up to hit the field in the new season. Fans are excited and players focused, as every franchise wants to start their NFL journey on a high note.

Same is the case for the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions, as the kick-off game draws closer. Although things are not looking quite as good between Chiefs’ Chris Jones and their management, QB Patrick Mahomes feels otherwise.

Kansas City Chiefs star Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is unfazed and confident amid the team-player dispute regarding Chris Jones’ contract.

In a recent conference in Chiefs training campus, Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked how he is tackling such distraction.

“At this point, you kind of just prepare to play the game with the guys that are in the building and let the front office handle that,” Patrick commented.

It can be understood that the Chiefs are focusing more on winning the first season Kick off this Thursday Against Lions.

“We’ve got a tough test with the Detroit Lions, and we’re going to focus on how we can win with the guys that are here,” Looks like Mahomes is determined to win yet another Super Bowl.

So for now, Patrick Mahomes and his team are focusing themselves on winning NFL kick off season this Thursday against the Detroit Lions.

Although, the Chiefs aren’t complete without their Defensive Tackles, Chris Jones, Mahomes remians confident for their upcoming game.

Chris Jones wants to be paid for more than he deserves as he is reaching his last year of his 4 year $80 million contract with the Chiefs. 

Chris Jones is facing contract dispute and made it perfectly clear he won’t be com in back to the field to tackle his enemies until the contract meets his demand which Is $64 million for two years more!

Obviously, this must be heavy for the Chiefs as they have an uncertain future about their teammate. 

Patrick Mahomes is ready for NFL week 1 matchup between Chiefs vs Lions

For a positive change, Mahomes is prepared for the match Chiefs vs Lions in NFL week 1.

The Chiefs players are more focused on the upcoming Thursday’s game against Lions. Patrick and Head Coach Andy Reid are determined to win the Super Bowl as they practice hard for the future.

Not to mention, Kansas City Chiefs are in more advantage here as they have their top receivers, Kadarius Toney back in the field, a valuable member to the team favoured by Head Coach, Andy Reid.

Toney had missed much of the practise already but as reported, he is “good to go” confirmed by the Head Coach, Andy Reid.

The Chiefs acquired Toney midway through last season and he caught 14 passes for 171 yards with two touchdowns in seven games. 

The expectations are high as well as chances of winning for the Chiefs worlwide. We wish the best of luck to the champions for the future game.
