Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has been in the limelight for the past few months. He is garnering a lot of attention, not only for his outstanding on-field performances but also for his high-profile relationship with the pop star, Taylor Swift. Travis is frequently seen in public with Taylor, whether at pubs or during appearances on Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Last Sunday, the talented tight end chose to spend time with his brother, Jason Kelce. Both Travis and Jason are NFL players and attended a Philadelphia Phillies game against the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. However, fans gave Travis Kelce an unexpected and warm welcome.
Travis Kelce takes Philly fan gestures with good humor
After attending the game, both Travis and Jason shared their experience on their podcast New Heights. Travis described the electric atmosphere at the Phillies‘ 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks, stating he loves such atmospheres.
“That place was f—ing electric. I love atmospheres like that. I just love walking up to stadiums like that knowing I’m going to a game.”
The tight end shared that attending games like these let him relive his childhood memories.
“It’s one of the only things that makes me feel like a kid again. There’s something about going to the ballpark I’ll never lose, man.”
Jason Kelce also acknowledged the unique atmosphere in Philadelphia, “Philly is a different atmosphere, man.” Travis then mentioned receiving some unfriendly gestures from Philly fans but took it in good humor.
“Gotta love getting flicked off by some of the Philly fans,” the Chiefs tight end said.
“You got flicked off?” Jason asked.
Travis mentioned that fans were showing him the offensive hand gesture of extending the middle finger.
“It was with a smile. It was like ‘Ha ha! Yeah!'” Travis recalled, showing the gesture. “And I was like, ‘Nice, man. I deserve that. I deserve every bit of that.'”

Travis understood it was part of the fun and banter with the passionate Philly fans and didn’t take offense. The way he let this unpleasant welcome from fans slide humorously is a testament to his fun personality.
Travis Kelce and Brother Jason enjoyed Bud Lights at Phillies playoff game
During the game, Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce were also seen drinking the famous drink, Bud Lights. This choice of beverage drew some criticism due to Bud Light’s association with transgender women and TikToker Dylan Mulvaney.

The 34-year-old has been doing ads for Bud Light, and this public consumption didn’t come as a surprise. When Travis Kelce first appeared in the ad for Bud Lights with a bunch of other guys drinking the beer, fans criticized him a lot for promoting the brand.
However, this marked the first occasion he was publicly seen drinking this beer with his brother. The tight end received an outpouring of love and appreciation from Swifties and Chiefs fans, but his appearance at the Phillies game drew a somewhat different response from fans.
Initially, some fans made disrespectful gestures and criticized him for consuming Bud Light. Nevertheless, the tight end remains unfazed by these reactions. He is fully focused on his career and personal relationships, and it’s safe to say that he’s excelling in both aspects right now.
