CM Punk plants seed of MJF feud while jibing at ex-WWE star who stole his catchphrase

On the latest edition of AEW Collision, CM Punk appeared on the show, where he brought up a mysterious bag along with him. During this segment, Punk also mocked Sasha Banks for stealing his catchphrase back in October 2021.

The recent actions of CM Punk on the show also received mixed reactions from the crowd present in the venue and from various online platforms. Many believed that this could also be a hint about the potential future feud between MJF and the Best in the World

CM Punk claims AEW World title at Collision

CM Punk was involved in a segment with Tony Schiavone on the latest edition of AEW Collision. The Best in the World cut a promo where he brought a red bag with him. During this segment, Punk also mentioned his loss from Ricky Starks both in singles and tag team matches. Later on, Punk also mentioned how he won the AEW World Championship by defeating Jon Moxley at AEW All Out 2022. Then he mentioned he never lost the Championship to any superstar, and that is why he still considered himself the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.

Later on, CM Punk revealed his AEW World Championship from the red bag, on which he had his own nameplates, and also said he had blood on it. After that, the Best in the World revealed that the title had his blood already, but now he is giving his sign on it. He used the spray and painted an X on the Championship, and then raised his title, claiming he is the real Champion in the company.

Punk fires at Sasha Banks for stealing his catchphrase

Punk also mocked Sasha Banks and fired back on his previous actions where she used his catchphrase. The former AEW World Champion said that at least he is a real Champion and he is not stealing any catchphrase like others do.

For those unaware, Sasha Banks used his catchphrase when she was going against Becky Lynch on the October 15 episode, Banks tweeted ‘It’s Clobberin’ time’, a phrase famously used by CM Punk before he begins a ring walk.

However, the actions of Punk seem to be a clear indication that the AEW is heading toward a rivalry between the current AEW World Champion MJF and Punk. It will be interesting to see how things will go forward in the company.
