Cody Rhodes Has His First Face-Off with John Cena Post Heel Turn

John Cena appeared live on WWE RAW on March 17th for the first time since turning heel by attacking Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber. This was also the first time Rhodes and Cena came face-to-face after that big moment that changed everything in wrestling.

John Cena started this week’s Raw by giving a heated message, telling the fans they had been terrible to him and even breaking up with them. He criticized the WWE Universe for being ungrateful over the years.

Cody Rhodes interrupted him, sharing his own thoughts. He told Cena that the fans had supported him because he was special and could handle it. Rhodes questioned who Cena had become and said he had been excited to face the real Cena, not this version.

Rhodes then boldly said, “If THIS shows up at WrestleMania, I’m gonna retire him early. Go find John Cena. That’s who I want at WrestleMania 41. Not this whiny bitch.” Both men threw their microphones down and left the ring. Cena followed Rhodes backstage soon after.

WWE veteran speaks out on Cody Rhodes’ RAW segment

Vince Russo, a former WWE head writer, shared his thoughts on Cody Rhodes’ recent segment with John Cena on Monday Night Raw. Russo criticized the handling of the segment on his show, Legion of RAW.

He was disappointed with how Rhodes responded to Cena, especially since Cena had attacked him before. Russo pointed out that Cena had kicked Rhodes, but Rhodes only called him a “whiny b*tch” instead of doing anything more.

He felt the segment lacked action and that Rhodes should have done more at that moment.
