Daniel Cormier faced a challenging situation at UFC 293 in Australia. His responsibilities included providing commentary alongside Jon Anik and Laura Sanko and conducting post-fight interviews. It was a role he had executed proficiently on numerous occasions.
However, an unexpected twist occurred when Charles Radtke, who had just secured a victory over the local favorite Michael “Blood Diamond” Mathea, used offensive and homophobic language during the post-fight interview.

When Cormier inquired about Radtke’s first UFC victory, he initially conveyed his excitement but then shockingly used derogatory language aimed at the audience. This resulted in an eruption of boos from the crowd, as Mathea was the hometown favorite.

DC promptly terminated the interview by taking the microphone away from Radtke. As Charles left the stage, he faced a chorus of boos but defiantly raised both middle fingers in response. The incident triggered a swift and predominantly critical response on social media. Many fans and observers expressed their disapproval of Radtke’s behavior.
‘Chuck Buffalo’ also took to social media to issue an official apology. He acknowledged that his emotions had momentarily overwhelmed him during the interview. Dana White, in his post-fight interview, clarified that the UFC did not pressure Radtke to make a statement apologizing.
Israel Adesanya set to defend his title in UFC 293
Israel Adesanya’s attempt to defend his title was spoiled by Sean Strickland at UFC 293. The American fighter outperformed the Nigerian fighter to a unanimous decision victory. Strickland was a significant betting underdog, but that did not stop him from attaining victory against the “Last Stylebender.”
The MMA world was shaken up seeing the masterclass performance of Strickland who even dropped Adesanya in the first round. When the final bell rang, there was no doubt about who would get his hand raised. Nobody expected ‘Tarzan’ to defeat Izzy with striking.
Dana White and Eugene Bareman are interested in a rematch but Israel Adesanya has not given any idea of what his plan is next. trickland has come forth and said that he is willing to fight anybody the promotion chooses.
