The two heavyweight fighters fought a couple of times, and Jones always came on top taking away Daniel’s belt in the process.
After the recent new of Jones not being there for the UFC 295 event due to an injury, Daniel did not skip a moment to release a statement. Daniel made a Youtube video throughout which he was seen bashing Jones.
He began by downplaying the severity of Jones’ injury and explained that injuries like that are not uncommon; they are relatively minor injuries that many fighters experience from time to time. He re-watched the footage, specifically the part where Jones injured himself, and began speculating on whether an injury like that would be serious enough to potentially prevent a fighter of Jones’ caliber from competing.
Dana reveals video of Jones’ pectoral injury incident
Dana White provided updates on Jon Jones, showing a video that demonstrated Jones getting injured. The video revealed Jones injuring himself in the pectoral region while attempting to wrestle. This injury means that he cannot be part of the upcoming card because he does not have enough time to recover.
This disheartened a lot of fans, as they were really eager to watch Jones win a heavyweight fight, like he did in an amazing fashion against Cyril Gane. Dana already announced the replacement fighters for the UFC 295 card. The event is now going to be headlined by Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira, and the new fight added to the card is Sergei Pavlovich vs Tom Aspinall.
