“Do the man dance”: Sean Strickland defeats Abus Magomedov at UFC Vegas 76 in round two

Sean Strickland had a fantastic night as he defeated Abus Magomedov in the headliner of The UFC Fight Night. However, he’s aiming big as he expressed his desire to face Israel Adesanya next. 

In order to prove his qualifications for a crack at the gold strap, Strickland attempted to demonstrate his abilities tonight. In contrast, Magomedov wanted to advance his own position in the division while thwarting Strickland’s plans. 

Israel Adesanya, the reigning middleweight champion is yet to book a fight. However, as it looks like from Sean’s victory, The Last Stylebender may just have found his next opponent.

The main event of the eagerly awaited UFC Fight Night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, featured two strong middleweight contenders. With a stellar professional record of 27 wins and 5 defeats, Sean Strickland entered the octagon to face Abus Magomedov, who had a record of 25 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw.

Strickland emphatically proved his worth for a title shot by delivering a second-round knockout against the emerging UFC fighter, leaving no doubt about his abilities. With this impressive victory, he sent a strong message to the division and solidified his claim for a championship opportunity.

Will Sean Strickland fight for the title in his next match?

During the post-fight press conference, Strickland expressed his desire to take a shot at the title next. The 32-year-old fighter thinks Adesanya should face him next and fans are also eagerly waiting for this matchup to happen. 

“F*ck, man. It needs to happen, you guys. We know Izzy is on f*cking repeat, dude. Every time they’ve tried to bring new blood, (like) the Frenchie I fought before, I sent him home. This guy, I sent him back. Every time they try to bring new blood in, I send them back. Give me the f*cking title. I earned it.” Sean said. 

According to the American fighter, he’s done enough as he defeated many newcomers and tonight once again he proved what he’s capable of doing. Now Sean is quite certain that he’s grabbed everyone’s attention. 

“I paid my dues. I’ve f*cking paid my dues. Give me that sh*t.” Sean added.
