Fans brutally mock Paul Costa for taking dig at Israel Adesanya and Alex Periera’s heartfelt interaction after UFC 287

Israel ‘The Last Stylebender’ Adesanya recently earned the sweetest victory of his career as he defeated his arch-rival Alex Pereira to reclaim his middleweight title. Following the achievement, Adesanya garnered high praise and admiration from almost everyone in the MMA community except one. His former opponent Paulo Costa didn’t lose an opportunity to engage in a not-so-friendly banter with the champ.

Adesanya’s nonconformist appearance and flamboyant demeanor, both of which break accepted gender standards, have been regularly mocked by Costa. In a recent war of words on twitter top middleweight contender Paulo Costa tried to get under Adesanya’s with the help of a cryptic tweet. Costa on twitter wrote “Life goals: find a woman who hugs you like he does, her[referring to Pereira’s wife] thought: I’m going to paint my nails pink too”. Costa’s tweet was in a reference a photo of Adesanya consoling Pereira after the fight.

Adesanya surprisingly took the jibe in a light-hearted way as he responded with a video of him being intimate with another woman. Captioning the video Adesanya wrote, “Why does Paulo Costa keep calling me a “faggot/faggy” bro??”

Apart from all the celebrations, we can soon expect Adesanya to make a return to the octagon as he is not a fighter that likes to stay away from competition for a long time. Since joining the UFC in February of 2018, Adesanya as been highly active, fighting 15 times in that period. He has made it clear that he intends to fight at middleweight only and hence one should keep an eye on all the exciting future match-ups.
