“F*cking go to the doctor scruff” Conor McGregor brutally mocks Kelvin Gastelum for withdrawing from UFC Vegas 67

Kelvin Gastelum was once touted as one of the most dangerous fighters in the middleweight division after pulling a 5 fight win streak in his UFC debut. Unfortunately, the ‘Ultimate Champion’ winner did not manage to hold his momentum going into his future fights. Now he gets attacked by Conor McGregor following a serious injury.

Kelvin last fought in August of 2021 against Jared Cannonier where he lost by a unanimous decision. After the fight, he suffered a serious injury which forced him to take the rest of 2021 and 2022 off. His fight against the upcoming contender Nassoudine Imavov was yet another opportunity for the middleweight to make a strong statement.

The first UFC card of 2023 faced a huge setback as Kelvin Gastelum seemingly caught Staph Infection and had to pull out. Sean Strickland has now stepped in to take on Imavov thus saving the card. Gastelum on the other hand will again have to take a hiatus from competing.

How did Conor McGregor react?

Seeing Kelvin’s visible injury, many fans and fighters came out in support of the Californian. Conor McGregor was, however, not convinced as he blasted the former title challenger on Instagram saying,

“Absolute scruff this thing is. That’s full of staph infection all over his f*cking face. A full f*cking hole omg and it’s his second time to attempt to enter competition like this. Wtf! Clean your mat, wash yourself, f*cking go to the doctor. Scruff.”

Such remarks are ironic coming from McGregor who himself suffered a serious leg injury while fighting Dustin Poirier on UFC 264. The injury took the Irish out of competition for a long while and he has seemingly admitted to using steroids. Attacking Gastelum in such a manner seems strange considering both fighters belong to different weight classes.

Gastelum decided to hit back at Conor on Twitter,

To be fair to Conor, his brash remarks might just be a way for him to sarcastically show support to Kelvin. Gastelum himself seemed rather snarky in his response too. We hope the middleweight has a fast recovery.
